The first lesson in the “Club of Discoverers of Digital Technology” is already this SATURDAY in Poland !!!

This Saturday, i.e. 9th October, we are going to start the action of the “DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY EXPLORERS CLUB”.

As a part of the first thematic block, we will be creating comics.
During the classes (especially their first part) we will be doing various exercises.
In this task children will be using the CANVA app.

Comics workshop agenda

1st day of the workshop: 9th October 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first part of the classes:
Getting familiar with each other – talking about who reads comics, what type, who has already tried to draw a comic book?
Introduction – a short historical description.
Elements and basis of a comic book – (among others, frame, heroes, onomatopoeia, emotions, character attributes, speech bubbles) – theory intertwined with drawing.

– distinguishing characters in a comic
– comics speech bubble
– comics frame

A short break in the middle of the classes.

The second part of the classes:
Idea, script:
– examples of creating a script (Analysis of scenario on the basis of a simple fairy tale)
– drawing warm-up
– creating a script and sketch of a comic book, based on a concept.

2nd day of the workshop: 6th November 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first part of the classes:
– Short summary of the previous classes content.
– Getting started with Canva.com – getting to know the app
– Creating comics in the app on the basis of a scenario drafted during the previous classes.

A short break in the middle of the classes.

The second part of the classes:
– comics party
– as soon as the break is over, completing the comics (1-3 pages)

1st workshop day – 9th October (4 hours) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
1st workshop day – 6th November (4 hours) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Place of the workshop: FabLab of the Regional Development Agency in Bielsko-Biała, Cieszyńska 365 (the access map is attached).
